Ravenswood is located in one of New Zealand's fastest growing districts (Waimakariri District) with a population of around 64,340 people. An estimated 9,900 people reside in the direct catchment area.

McDonald's, & BP  are now open with New World commencing construction in 2020. A Gull service station will also be part of the commercial area. These four large businesses will be draw cards for local residents (immediate catchment 9,900). A childcare centre, Ravenswood Stars Nursery and Preschool, is under construction and is expected to be open by August 2020. Enrolments are being taken now on their website here.

Ravenswood sits on a high profile location just north of Woodend, 20km north of Christchurch and adjacent to SH1. There are already 18,000 vehicles per day going past the commercial precinct and there are expected to be 28,000 within the next 10 years. The four legged roundabout on State Highway 1, which is the entrance to Ravenswood, has already been built.

Ravenswood is a fully masterplanned community of 1,352 residential sections and 13ha of commercial land comprising a mix of commercial and light industrial lots.

The commercial project is fully consented and construction of the town centre is now underway. The Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) is funding the project.
